Adams 4
When I woke up at around 4:30, this is the view I had from my tent. That is Rainer in the distance to the north. The sun was just coming up and it was very pretty..... We headed up around 7 after breakfast and packing. Will took this shot of me walking up the snow field. Soon after we were on the Cleaver and the fun began. Will is a proficient rock climber, so he helped me get through the sketchy / scary parts. We did not need ropes, and anything we climbed was doable, it just gets scary when there are 100ft drop offs / cliffs pretty close by;)
It's about 4.5 miles from our tents at the pond to the summit and about 5,000ft over vertical gain. The problem is some of the vertical is practically strait up sand, small rock, jagged rock, crumbling rock.... you name it.
