Once we get off the Cleaver, we now have to walk across the top (~1 mile and 800 more feet up) to the summit. It is off to the left of center of this image. The stench of Sulfur is overpowering, there are vents up here. They used to mine Sulfur here. It dose not help that I'm tired, winded(11,500ft), hungry, and Will is telling me one of the funniest stories I have ever heard. I had to tell him to stop because I was laughing and weasing from the Sulfur Fumes... You can see the smoke from the fire at the Southern Base of the mountain...That's Hood in the distance.
