NYC

This past weekend Marc and Madison were lucky enough to be able to make it back to NJ for his mother's 70th birthday party. They had a wonderful time. On top of being able to participate in the party, Marc was able to take a few side trips and do some of the things he has been missing since moving here to Washington.

He and Madison took the train into NYC and were able to go to Rockefeller Plaza. They went to the top and were able to get a great view of the city and of the Empire State Building. They walked around the area and made it over to Madison Avenue and to St. Patrick's Cathedral. They ate dinner at a nice Italian restaurant where they were able to get great NY pizza and garlic knots. Then they took a taxi down to Times Square and walked around a little bit there.

Marc was also able to go visit Rutgers State University where he attended college and was able to show Madison around some of his old studying places and where he lived. On Monday they made it down to the beach to visit some more with his mom and spend some time there taking some photos on the beach.

What did Collette and I do.... Well, we played a lot, rented a new video game for the Wii and had a camp out/sleepover in our TV room. We set up our tent, blew up the air mattress and made out our nice bed. We had a great time...however about 2:00 in the morning I woke up because I was not so comfortable anymore. Turns out our air mattress has a hole in it and had deflated enough where I was laying on the hard ground while Collette was snoozing away over on her side. Nice!? We did manage to have a good weekend though but am glad to have everyone home!
