Here is a summary of a climb I made on June 20th.
We took the "winter" red route. An extra 3 miles, that extended the typical "Summer" green route from 9 miles to 12. With a 200% snow build up this year we could not drive to the summer route. It was worth it, easy up and nice slide down....more to come....
We walked up a little left of center of this shot.
That's me walking past an avalanche in the distance. We keep away from them. But the snow keeps you cool. My feet were drenched at this point, but not cold.
Here is a shot about half way up, that's Mt Adams in the distance.
