New Cast!

After waiting three LONG weeks...Madison was finally able to get the new shorter cast. We went back to the doctors on Tuesday and she was doing great so the doctor decided to change out her cast. Madison was a little nervous but we were all excited to get the smaller cast. However, with the removal of the old cast we didn't anticipate the pain that would come with now having her knee out of the cast. Since her knee has been immobile for 3 1/2 weeks it is very painful to begin moving it again. Which makes since, but again not something we anticipated. She is making good progress though and being a good trooper. She is putting some weight on it and beginning to walk around the house some without the use of crutches. I'm sure it will be only a couple of more days and she will be speeding along!
