Marc on the News....
Marc was up on Hood skinning up (Synthetic Felt on stuck to the bottom of the ski for the ascent) the mountain to ~8,000 ft. Then skiing down. The lifts were not working this high, so you are on your own on the way up. It makes for a nice ski down too. There is a big concern about avalanches this year, but as long as you stay away from the risky areas you should be fine. Marc stayed within bounds since it was so cold, icy and risky this time of year. On the way down the news guy from the local NBC affiliate talked to him and asked if he would talk about the conditions up high. The guy asked a bunch of questions but they cut it all out. He is holding the skins in the orange bag, since the reporter asked about them.
